About Our Equestrian Academy & Training Programs
Equestrian Academy & Training
The Legacy Equine Academy is proud to offer a large program with high quality instructors, personal attention, a focus on safety, and well-schooled horses. Our equestrian academy offers our riders an exceptional English or Western riding experience.
We are a unique Academy compared to other equestrian centers in that we offer a very personal service in a safe and fun environment. Our instructors are experienced in teaching all levels of riding starting at the early beginner levels through the more advanced levels. Each level contains specific criteria with goals and objectives. All criteria must be thoroughly understood and demonstrated before new training of the next level begins. This assures that the basic fundamentals are not being missed and each lesson is a success! The instructors take great pride in continuously keeping the family involved in each child's progress.
Our Mission & Values:
We are dedicated to providing riding lessons that offer fun recreation, teach the skill of riding and more importantly great life lessons such as confidence, compassion and patience. For young people and adults, being involved in riding horses is unlike any other activity or sport. We emphasize a solid foundation of basics, sportsmanship, teamwork, positive attitude and responsibility. In addition, we provide a professional, fun, and relaxed environment where genuine friendships are cherished and memories are made.
Our Academy is focused on building the appropriate training program unique to every rider. At Legacy Equine Academy, we know that no two students are alike. Every rider has their own dream; therefore, we pride ourselves in assisting our students to accomplish each individual goal.
Our relationship with our horses are built on trust and patience, which is achieved by delivering clear and consistent direction. Additionally, we are continuously aware that our horses require the finest environment and care to assure a happy physical and mental well-being. Every horse is treated in a positive and loving manner and is handled with good horsemanship.
Working Student Program:
“The Legacy Equine Academy Working Student Program" was created to give students the opportunity to learn all phases of horsemanship and instill a sense of pride and responsibility, while earning extra lessons by putting forth extra effort, focus, and time at the stables. In addition, the working student program is intended to develop a love for nature, healthy work ethic, nurture friendships, and provide a positive and safe environment for students.”
Here at Legacy Equine Academy, we believe that students learn best when at the barn and involved in every day equine activities which include caring for the horses, tack and equestrian equipment, the facility, veterinary care and feeding. Potential Working Students will have been riding at Legacy Equine Academy for many months and will have been assessed as being capable and knowledgeable before being accepted into the program.
Parents and Families
Parents are encouraged to be as actively involved as possible. Our staff whole-heartedly appreciates all the efforts put forth by the families to provide their children with the incredible opportunity to be around the horses. This was a contributing factor to create the program.
